I have always been a curious child, wanting to learn and gain experiences in different aspects. As a child, I took classes in art, abacus, piano and other skills that were deemed as fun for a 7 year old. As I grew older, I tried internships at law firms, and have worked in bookstores, fast food chain restaurants and even educational institutes pertaining to insurance. I have always thought of life as a journey and I wanted to make sure that I discover and experience life to its fullest. Interacting with different groups of people had allowed me to gain different insights that I was able to apply to my daily life. This has contributed greatly to my problem-solving skills and I had gained the ability to be very adaptable to new scenarios.

As I am an only child, I have a very close connection with my parents and we would engage in hikes and walks on weekends as a family bonding activity. This cultivated my love towards nature. My hobbies include going on walks or hikes, arranging flowers and cultivating plants at home. (Photos that I have taken recently on my hikes and travels can be seen in my gallery!) When I was in secondary school, I chanced upon the opportunity to volunteer at a fundraiser for ACRES(Animal Concerns and Research Education Society) Singapore. This experience allowed me to broaden my perspective on wildlife animals and reinforced my decision to work in the environmental industry.

 

Since young, I have also had a knack for identifying patterns and was always intrigued by the interconnectedness of various factors that could shape outcomes and I decided to choose a Data Science major in university due to my fascination for problem-solving and curiosity for patterns and trends.
